John Metcalf This is artistry on the level of great records released in the 70's - some Jethro Tull, Yes, Traffic, Neil Young can be heard as possible influences. A great concept album. Highly recommended! Favorite track: Shining Through.

The Riders: I can hear them riding towards me. I can hear them riding towards me. I can feel the riders approaching I can see the riders coming I can see them riding towards me Worthwhile: As you struggle on through this life these past unraveling years not knowing which way to turn learning and earning some things here and there they may come in handy someday but you're never quite sure if they'll be worth a damn I know that there's something out there worth reaching for and nothing worthwhile is easy but not everything hard is worthwhile I know Is it too late to find someone to carry this burden with you and share a love and life and home deep inside you know exactly what it is you're needing too blind to see it there in front of you I know that there's somebody out there worth searching for and nothing worthwhile is easy but not everything hard is worthwhile I know You know that there's some things right here worth holding onto and some things worthwhile are easy but don't regret giving the path a try

Drakus 06:32
I can see them stand before me, swords already drawn. Have they come to slay the dragon as prophesied in stone? Has it been so long? My life's passed me by. For eons I have slept alone in this forsaken broken home. Can I still spread my wings and fly? Drakus the forgotten dragon lie within this cave. Legends say that long ago he could have ruled the skies. Has it been so long? My life's passed me by. For eons I have slept alone in this forsaken broken home. Can I still spread my wings and fly? Now you all will see my vengeance! Now you'll feel my pain! Feel the fire built up inside me, driven me insane! Don't cry. Isn't this what you have come to see? Before you take the dragon's head I'll give you all fantastic show! And if I can't fly no more at least I can watch you all burn.

The Joker was born at the end of a crisis The thief before one began at either side of a grand wild spectrum it's almost it was planned they laughed and cried as forces beyond their control played political games as cultures clashed and empires fell the song always ended the the same the joker said to the ragged thief "and they call me the fool" the thief said "they've stolen my future and I've no money left for school" The thief made everyone laugh with his dance as the dragon burned everything down The Joker stole all of the thief's ideas and enjoyed a new glory rebound They laughed and cried as forces beyond their control played political games as cultures clashed and empires fell the song always ended the same the thief said to the wealthy joker "and they call me a crook" the joker said "these are the tears of a clown that you see For it is my past that they took"

Travel On: When I was just a child one day We walked along the waterway I asked my father what lay beyond the hills of crown and Glavestoun Travel on we grew so fast Travel on but slow enough that We never saw the cycles of our lives He told me that the cave of Drake lay within the mountain gloom A dragon lived their, so he said But riders brought him to his doom Travel on we grew so fast Travel on but slow enough that We never saw the cycles of our lives Drakus was the dragon’s name And terrible was the flying worm He scorched our fields, destroyed our homes And left our bodies charred and burned My grandfather was one of them Who rode to slay the wretched beast And every year we honor them Our heroes with an annual feast Travel on we grew so fast Travel on but slow enough that We never saw the cycles of our lives If I were only half as brave as grandfather back in the day They sacrificed and scrimped an saved while we just laugh and feast and play But the party does end far too fast Our travels takes us down that path And soon we’ll see the cycle of our lives Heroes' Feast: I. Bustling Brew (Instrumental) II. Funky Feast (Instrumental) III. Blissful Bellies (Instrumental)

Well Maybe I was wrong have I waited far too long for her to notice me I’m increasingly deranged deep inside I’ve never changed I know she’ll love me ‘Cause I still see what I want too see And as she paints the skies I can see that that in her eyes that she’s forgotten me And all the worlds that she creates the inspirations that she takes maybe comes from me ‘Cause I still see what I want to see How else can I go on without hope without a song what’s the point at all I might as well be dead why should I get out of bed if she won’t respond Because I still see what I want to see But I still put up a fight for the chance we’ll see the light and we’ll find our home it’s not too late ‘Cause I still see what I want to see What I want to see What I want to see What I want to see

When the Moon is Full and there’s nobody around I crawl out of my hole and I travel to the pool of glavestoun Late at night when I’m free to approach on my Own I peer into the water and see how my decay has grown Is that me down there? I can hardly recognize that form Trying so hard to hold on Now I’ve lived to long Reflection often leads to Reflection Regrets pool up around me as I fade Missing treasures never had Wishing I’d replaced the ones long gone At the pool of Glavestoun Gently washing the remaining rotten teeth inside my head The pain is dull but still reminds me that I am not yet dead Dreading in silence when the next one will abandon me Quietly resisting the urge to yank them all out and be free Is that me down there? I can hardly recognize that form Trying so hard to hold on Now I’ve lived to long Reflection often leads to Reflection Regrets pool up around me as I fade Missing treasures never had Wishing I’d replaced the ones long gone At the pool of Glavestoun Keep shining on, keep shining on through Keep shining on, keep shining on Keep shining on, keep shining on through Keep shining on, keep shining on Oh I hear people to the east reminding me that it is time to go I take one last look into the pool to see the shriveled monster down below Better leave now or they will drag me away in their chains I’m a wretched creature fearing every little change Is that me down there? I can hardly recognize that form Trying so hard to hold on Now I’ve lived to long Reflection often leads to Reflection Regrets pool up around me as I fade Missing treasures never had Wishing I’d replaced the ones long gone At the pool of Glavestoun

I. Days of Old She came down from the heavens with a white hot blazing sword cleaving through the necks of the immortals. All the wounds were cauterized, never to be repaired. Zeus' and Odin's efforts were in vain. Oh how it was in those days of old, remember how we how we lived as one ... Oh ... Remember all the magic ... the fiery dragons high ... remember how it felt to never die. When she finally passed away, the last immortal sigh, the age of mortal man had begun. Oh how it was in those days of old, remember how we basked in the sun. Oh how I miss those days. II. The Forbidden Swamp Within the forbidden swamp so deep The ancient egg of Drakus is located And those who seek its power will keep fighting the monsters that they had created with tribal fear and resentment they sold their soul for a weapon but never they’ll learn A dragon cannot be controlled And those who’ve tried to wield one have all burned burned burned III. Fallen Gods She came down from the heavens with a white hot blazing sword when Aquarius broke through the wall. Jesus was the first to fall. He sacrificed himself to save us all when Aquarius broke through the wall. Oh... The Science of her sword drove us back into the sea. We had no more route to escape when Aquarius broke through the wall. The sky fell like tears on the fallen gods below. In desperation we called him. That's when our dragon was launched to the sky. Oh .....

I. Eye of the Storm I can hear their voices from the eye And see the sun start shining through Hear their hopeful voices way up high and see the sun keep shining through Voices guide us onwards through the storm we see the sun keep shining through, oooh We can see the storm break way ahead we see the sun keep shining through keep shining on, keep shining on through, keep shining on, keep shining on keep shining on, keep shining on through, keep shining on, keep shining on One day all the clouds will be gone (repeating in the background) We keep weathering that storm from the day we’re born know the end is near the sky getting clear We can cloud break way ahead we see the sun keep shining through there’s a new age rising from the haze we see the sun keep shining through Oh keep weathering that storm keep shining on, keep shining on through, keep shining on, keep shining on One day all the clouds will be gone Now we’re going home (repeating in the background) We keep weathering that storm from the day we’re born we’re tired and tattered and worn know the end is near the sky getting clear II. Keep Shining Through Keep shining through (repeating) Oh Keep shining on through See that light shining on through Keep shining through

about

For 2000 years an ancient prophecy has been etched on the stone pillar outside the castle wall:

"Once every century Drakus will fly burning lands of the mortals he’s always despised. But the 20th time will be his last when magic and dragons vanish into the past. Mounted riders on high tear him down to his doom and a new age of mortals and reason will boom. But science creates its own kind of dragon. So remember past heroes while raising your flagon."
